Waiting To Rip Into The Haka by Dan
I feel like I’m in a freezer. It’s so cold. I’m very scared to do the haka. But, first we have to do the singing, then rakau. Katelyn is our leader. Off we go I’m singing as loud as I can, so everyone can hear me. I am finally finished and now I have to sit down. I was trying to let out my best voice. Here I’m about to do the haka. I was scared but now I’m not. I am into it!

The Magic Box by Sylvia
The Magic Box
I will place in my box,
the joy of touching soft snow,
the sugary scent of an ice cream shop,
and the giggles of the first time Roald Dahl tasted lollies.
I will put in my box,
the scary sounds in a haunted room,
the soothing melody of a pheonix,
the mouth watering look of sweet lollypops.
I will pour in my box,
the golden tears of a kauri tree,
a raging tornado,
a roaring lion.
I will dump in my box,
a mission in a forest,
the rainbow horn of a unicorn,
and the dream of a selfish giant.
My box is lined with coarse leather on the inside and fragile spider webs cover it on the outside.
My box glows a silvery blue and is very magical.
I can do anything in my box
and what ever I think - can come true.
My box is full of happiness.
